2014 Toyota Tundra Fender Flares
The 2014 Toyota Tundra is hitting dealerships now, and we were lucky enough to get our hands on a 1794 edition to shoot our Pocket and “OE” flares with. The ’14 Tundra Pocket Style Flare will offer 2″ of coverage, and the “OE” will provide 1″. Both flares’ release date is still TBD.
My first impression of the ’14 Tundra (besides the chrome) was that it felt crafted and refined. The interior oozed luxury with its soft brown leather seats, wood trim, and moon roof. While the bed opted for functionality with adjustable tie downs, and a floating tail gate.
The one thing I did notice on the 2014 Tundra was that the bumper sits much lower than expected. Granted, I don’t expect to see a ’14 Tundra on extreme trails any time soon, but how will this effect after market bumper designs? It’s hard to say, but if we’re lucky we’ll see some sneak peaks at SEMA.
Despite not having a diesel option, the 2014 Toyota Tundra exceeded my expectations, and I’m sure the Tundra crowd feels the same way. But only time will tell in how well it stacks up against the competition.
