Benji Pulido’s Wicked 2014 Toyota

The Toyota Tundra is new for 2014, and people are making some great custom creations using Toyota’s full-size truck platform. One such builder is Benji Pulido of Gardena, CA. He’s taken the 2014 Tundra to new levels of cool and transformed the truck from a workhorse pickup to an all-out showstopper. Benji’s rig was one of the first ’14 Tundras to be tricked out, and he only had a matter of weeks to do it, since the truck would debut at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas last November. Despite the relatively quick build time, the truck has plenty of awesome parts and modifications. Starting with the suspension, Benji’s Tundra features a massive 12” lift from Bulletproof, which includes the company’s coilovers and shocks. To match his big lift, he has equally big 22×12 TIS wheels shod with 40×15.50r22 Nitto Mud Grappler Tires. With this wide wheel-and-tire combo, Ben added Bushwacker Pocket Style Fender Flares for an additional 1.75” of tire coverage, and had them painted to match the body. Up front, the truck wears a Fab Fours front bumper.

One of the more distinct parts of the truck is its roof rack, which is a Gravel Empire unit, and it conveniently houses two ultra-bright 50” Rigid LED light bars. The truck also wears a Gravel Empire front grille. Under the hood, the truck’s 5.7-liter iForce V8 is modified with a K&N intake and Doug Thorley headers, both of which help produce some more grunt. The truck sounds mean, thanks to the Metal Mulisha Exhaust by Gibson Performance. There’s also a Bully Dog Performance tuner so Benji can get the most out of his mods.

Inside this terrific Tundra lies Alea leather seats with Ultrasuede inserts as well as an Ultrasuede headliner. There’s also a Kicker audio system to keep the tunes cranking. A set of Amp Research Power Steps helps everyone easily get inside the truck, especially since it’s got such a big lift.

Capping off the truck’s mods are an A.R.E. tonneau cover with a Bed Rug underneath. Finally, a Fab Fours rear bumper and smoked taillights finish off this custom ride. In addition to being showcased at the ’13 SEMA Show, the vehicle has attended a host of other evebts, and was featured in DUB Magazine (April 2014). Benji is building another ’14 Tundra, and we’re excited to see what he does to this next rig. We have a feeling it’ll be even more wicked than this creation. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for Bushwacker fender flares for the 2014 Toyota Tundra, have no fear, we’ve got a three styles to choose from.
